Having so many different needs in my classroom it is essential to have a differentiated learning environment for children to learn in. There is a disparity of resources in my school and community. My students come to school eager and ready to learn. They live in a low economic area in Chicago and attend a Title 1 school. Because the diversity of the classroom ranges from Autism to developmental delay it is beneficial for my students to receive visual supports which allows greater processing time. Also, incorporating interactive reading activities will engage my students and enhance their learning.
