I teach reading and writing to two classes of inquisitive 7 and 8 year old students. They are excited to grow as readers and writers and it is my honor to guide them. They blow me away with their enthusiasm for exploring all the written word has to offer both as a reader and an author. Every day I am amazed by my students. Our campus is a Title 1 campus and many of my students have to go without many luxuries. I strive to ensure that our classroom is a safe place for everyone to learn and grow together. Many of my students speak more than one language and several of them are teaching their parents English based on what they are learning in school. They have many responsibilities outside of their school work.
