Students will be working in groups of 3 or more, and in order for them to communicate ideas, we will use whiteboards and dry erase markers to brainstorm ideas. Projects that allow for creativity often require a lot of resources, therefore organization is a must and students are encouraged to glue resources into their notebooks for safekeeping. Students will also create a vision board that details the outline of their comic strip. In order to create a math comic strip, basic art and classroom supplies are needed. Printing paper, loose leaf paper, and pencils will allow students to create drafts of their comic strips as we progress through the creative planning stages. The paper will also be used to create a final draft of their comic strip in conjunction with the black chisel tip markers, color pencils, and washable markers to create a comic effect.
