I am requesting 32 giant foam blocks for my block area. I currently have wooden blocks for them to build with, but the giant foam blocks would be a great asset to our block area. Building with blocks will provide students with one of the most valuable learning experiences available for young children. Building with the giant foam blocks will help stimulate my students learning in all domains of development, cognitive, fine-motor, physical, and social-emotional and language. The giant foam blocks will also help my students learn to take turns, share materials, develop new friendships, become self-reliant, increase attention span, cooperate with others, use problem-solving skills, and develop self-esteem. The students in my classroom will be allowed to play freely, explore, and manipulate the giant foam blocks in a variety of engaging ways in our block area.
