The books from this project will be used to incorporate research into our literature circles to learn more about space. The robots and models will be used to build interest and excitement about learning about space. The hands on activities and art aspect will appeal to the students and catch their interest. This will also help get them thinking about different career opportunities. We are going to be going on a field trip to NASA and the books will give students a chance to research and learn before our trip so they can develop questions to explore while we are there. This will make the field trip more exciting because they will have some background knowledge and be able to explore the questions they still have. This also gives them a chance to practice working together and sharing learning with their classmates.
