This year I have a lively bunch of students with great imaginations! I have introduced them to just a few artists this year and have tried to model our art from theirs. They are excited with the opportunity to learn more and to model more of their art.
The majority of my students live in the government housing or rent-reduced apartments that surround the area of our school. We have many wonderful programs that provide food, health care, and other services to our school's population. We provide our students with normal school supplies (folders, backpacks, paper, pencils, crayons, and glue)because many cannot afford it.
I am also proud to say that our students and staff have worked very hard to raise test scores, with great success! I feel that these students deserve to enjoy some of the "frosting on the cake" so to speak. I would like to be able to enrich the lives of my students- who often give me their own prized possessions from home(an old stuffed toy or piece of jewelry).
