The NAMS band continues to grow! We have a large percussion class that is performing more complex percussion ensemble music, but the ensemble is lacking the necessary instruments to allow all students to perform. Due to the growing cost of quality music supplies and materials, many of our students do not have access to high quality percussion mallets, mouthpieces, and reeds. Having high quality and fully functional equipment boosts student confidence, self-esteem, motivation, and the overall quality of our band program. Many of our current mallets are damaged, falling apart, or broken beyond repair. Our hardworking students successfully compete on a local, regional, and state level with music. Our band students also support our school and community through a variety of performances each year. I am so thankful and overwhelmed by the community support during my first year at NAMS! Thank you for believing in the NAMS band students and for supporting music education!
