A visual library will be a place that my students can access books for artist research, information, and inspiration for art projects. Every class I have completes an artist research project where students pick an artist to research than presents their findings. For each project students conduct research and books will provide another avenue for thier research. As a school we are focused on improving student's reading abilities to aid in bringing them up to grade level. It poses a challenge when there are limited books in our school building which is why it is so important to get books for my students. Currently at my school we do not have a library for students to access books and I want to bring a small part of the library, the arts, to my classroom for students. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading and gain more knowledge of art. All of the books have been chosen with my students in mind. Every book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care. My students are thankful for the opportunities to read and view works of art. These books will help them gain more knowledge.
