This is not your typical classroom! In the fall of 2021, we launched the Dell Student TechCrew through a course called "Computer Service & Repair." In my classroom, students earn their Dell Tech Direct certification, their CompTIA A+ certification, and operate as a helpdesk within our school. In their first year, our student technicians have repaired over 500 laptops for our school, and our neighboring middle and high schools. My students are amazing! Most of them come from low-income families and this course is preparing them to be employable as soon as they graduate from high school. They continually exceed my expectations and I cannot wait to see all the great things they will continue to accomplish.
