I want my scholars to have a library they can be proud of. I am working to get books about their interests, and on their reading levels. Each scholar made a pledge to grow 1.5 years from their current reading level. Some of my third grade scholars read at a Kindergarten and 1st grade reading level. They are working with a relentless spirit to close the achievement gap and learn those reading skills that some of us take for granted. By the end of their third grade year, my 50 scholars will be bilingual, at or above grade level and on their way to graduate college in 2026. It starts with having a library!
