To be able to create an engaging and exciting classroom that fosters learning you need many materials! That is why I am requesting many different types of materials in this project. First and foremost, my kindergartners will need basic supplies such as pencils, crayons, and glue! Buying these items in bulk will help our year run smoothly because we will never run out of what is needed. I have also included some necessary organization items, such as mail boxes and sit spots, to keep everything in its place. If things are not organized, it can get chaotic quickly! We also need the fun and engaging books and center manipulatives! This year, I am using Elephant and Piggie, Clark the Shark, and a few other type of books to create a classroom community. Each day we will read a new book during morning meeting to learn important social and emotional skills such as respecting others, sharing, and having good manners. Reading these books will create a supportive and well-rounded group of learners in the classroom!
