All of our Algebra 1 students were chosen as part of an accelerated mathematics program in our school. They are dedicated students and work hard to succeed toward college and career-readiness. However, many of the families of the students that I am lucky enough to teach, struggle with financial stability and can't afford the technology necessary to help their students soar into the 21st Century. We recently received 30 - TI-84 CE calculators, but are currently charging them individually, using the limited outlets in the classroom. These charging stations will help my students' batteries to stay charged, so both the calculators & students are ALWAYS prepared and ready to learn. With access to supplies that are always readily accessible for learning, my students can utilize the calculators we were given to be successful in graphing for basic Algebra & beyond!
