I have a darling group of rambunctious first graders. We have noticed an increase of behavioral issues during recess and break times. I am hoping to provide opportunities for constructive play time outdoors. I feel this will reduce the number of physical aggression incidents that occur during recess time. I also believe students will learn to play together. Also, using the recess equipment could further coordination and help with large and fine motor development. Studies have correlated large and fine motor development to success in reading and other academic areas.
