As we all know sitting straight up in a chair at a desk only works for a small percentage of learners. With flexible seating options it allows me to provide several different options for my students to have. Yoga balls, stools, and cushioned stools allow them to sit where they will focus and learn best. I have a few yoga balls in my classroom and they have greatly increased a few of my students focus, but for some those are allow for too much movement and create more of a disruption. I have selected a variety of seating options to meet more students' needs! My flexible seating arrangement plan will increase all students focus and learning as there will be more teacher time spent one on one or with the entire class, rather than redirecting behaviors that arise from students not getting to move enough, which is a perfectly normal need for a 9-10 year old boy or girl!
