Physical Education is about educating the mind, body and soul. Lifetime activities do just that! Bocce, a lifetime activity, is a sport played in many unified programs, meaning it levels the playing field for all participants. My classes are completely inclusive, which alone provides great experiences for all students. With this equipment, I can implement a sport that is unified to better engage students socially, mentally, and physically. The equipment will be used for both physical education class and recess time. Bocce as a unified sport provides people with and without special needs the opportunity to have social contact, develop physically and to gain self-confidence.
