This school year, we are focusing on improving ELA in our K-2 students. To help our students in my music room, I've selected a wide variety of books intended to be used musically or to create music from them. This provides students the opportunity to create and perform, while working to understand key concepts from the stories through musical repetition. Connecting what students are learning in their homeroom with concepts in music helps in retention and comprehension. I want to share these books with my students and allow them to learn through play and through music.
