In a growing technological world, my students desire to create in ways that utilize the technology in their society. As a result, I am offering a Music Technology course this upcoming school year. My students gain more from their learning when they encounter creative experiences that have real world application. Through receiving the iPads, my students will learn how to utilize FL Studio, Finale, Garage Band and other similar music composition applications. These programs are well known and used regularly in the professional music world. They will then use their prior knowledge of music theory to complete a variety of projects (electronic music composition, written music composition, video music project) that reflect their understanding of using the programs listed above.
