Our school is a charter school within a large urban public school district in south-eastern Wisconsin. We are not one of those wealthy charter schools that hand pick the cream of the crop students--we have a lottery to place our students who come from all walks of life. We provide an Expeditionary Learning Outward Bound (ELOB) program that defies the traditional classroom. Our classes include adventure education, service learning, and character education as additions to the classroom curriculum. Our teachers work hard to prepare themed learning expeditions that are cross-curricular and project based experiences that have a lasting impact on our students lives. This not only prepares them for their post-secondary education demands, it provides them with the critical thinking and problem solving skills that will serve them beyond their school years.
