Our elementary school has such a diverse population. I believe it is such a benefit to the students to experience a culturally diverse population. It allows the students to be open to, and learn about all cultures. We have many students in which English is the second language. Reading can sometimes be such a difficult thing for students. Especially, when students have already learned to read and now they are reading to learn. Comprehension can be a difficult task for some. I am asking for supplies for my students to help motivate their learning and give them a variety of materials to work with. I have used "smelly" stickers for as long as I have been teaching. You would not believe how motivating they can be! The students love them and I use them each day for a job well done! It is such a rewarding thing that I do each day and I love it! I appreciate your help to support our students and their reading instruction.
