I have "flipped" my classroom in effort to reach my special learners when they need my help the most - when they are struggling with higher-level thinking and application at home. The LiveScribe pen allows my students to directly observe a writer's thinking and process in real time. As I have begun to flip my classroom, I have realized that my current methods (recording slideshows) are not meeting those learners needs because they are not able to see my thinking and writing process (the pen to paper). If I receive the LiveScribe pen with notebook and ink, my Flipped Classroom videos will become more concrete so that my special learners can visualize the process more clearly instead of wondering, "how did she do that?"
