Hello, my name is Ms. Vogelsang and I have the privilege of teaching 2nd grade students. Our classroom is an ESL embedded classroom and together we know a total of 4 different languages! During our instructional time we focus on English and Spanish. Throughout the year we explore different thematic units through our reading and math curriculum, along with STEM. Through the use of SIOP stategies I implement as much group work and student conversations as possible. I use the Daily 5 model and and Guided Math, giving students flexibility and freedom in their independent, partner, and group work space and time. I also impliment Conscious Discipline as my management strategy and we build our school family all year.
