The books will be integrated into our SEL curriculum and will be used to create class discussions linking current themes and topics with student's personal experiences, helping build community. Targeted small groups will be able to enjoy the books as a means to connect with group members, strengthen student to student relationships, work as as team, have meaningful discussions and practice adaptive coping. Additionally, the books will serve as a tool for individual counseling sessions as an introduction to vulnerable topics and opening up opportunities for difficult and necessary conversations.
