Everyday I watch 3 classes of 26 awesome students work on writing. The growth they make through each unit is astonishing. Our school has one computer lab. We have limited access to the lab since we have such a large school. My classroom has two very old computers that hardly work. I wanted my students to be able to type their writing pieces but since many of them have limited access to technology at home, and therefore limited typing skills, this took an extended amount of time. The look on their faces when they were finally able to share their typed pieces was a look I will never forget, and a look I want to be able to witness at the end of every unit. When we were unable to utilize the computer lab during periods of computer testing my students were devastated!
