My students are low socio-economic minorities who all speak English as a second language. They need scaffolds and strategies that can help them develop their English-language speaking, reading, listening, and writing skills. My students are one or more grade levels behind in reading and struggle with fluency and phonics, as well as comprehension skills. With that being said, my students are very hard-working students who strive to succeed. When given the tools to improve upon their reading and/or computational skills, my students have proven to me time and time again that they will try their hardest to reach their educational goals. They are a true joy to be around, and I would love to provide them with an opportunity to improve upon their listening, reading, and comprehension skills.

About my class
