My students need a wide range of books to choose from for our class library. As it is my first year teaching, I am looking to expand my small collection of YA books so that my students have a diverse collection of literature to read. This project will help to grow lifelong readers as students will have the chance to explore a variety of genres, authors, and topics. Students will have the opportunity to read for enjoyment as they develop new skills and explore new concepts in class. Giving them choice and flexibility as they begin applying these skills is a crucial part of developing as readers!
