My students at Kiley Middle School hold a special place in the hearts of not only their immediate subject teachers, but in the hearts of all of the administrators and other school staff members. The Social Emotional Behavioral Supports (SEBS) program at Kiley is a unique and integrative classroom experience for students who struggle in general education classrooms. The students we teach in our classrooms have suffered from one or more of the following: post traumatic stress disorder, mood dysregulation disorder, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, learning disabilities spanning the board, oppositional defiant disorder, and many other psychological, physiological and emotional disorders. Our students need a therapeutic environment in order to effectively remain in the classroom and continue to develop their coping skills, along with developing academically on pace with their general education peers.
