My fifth grade students come from diverse family and social backgrounds. They each have unique personalities that have contributed to our safe and fun classroom culture. My students come to class eager to learn, provide feedback, laugh and grow as readers and writers. As an urban high poverty school, not all materials and programs are provided for these students. Little by little, the classroom that they walk into everyday will be full of resources and materials that will allow their educational growth to go beyond the bare minimum provided.

About my class
