These Italian 4 students will be able to apply their knowledge of Italian food items, architecture and modes of transportation to a real life local Italian community. This will be the first opportunity my students have to engage in an Italian Renaissance City, similar to those they have read about for the past four years. They will have a guided bus tour of this city. They will be provided with the opportunity to leave their hometown and intoxicate their senses with the smells, sights and tastes of the flavors of Italy when they go behind the scenes to see traditional and cultural Italian desserts at an authentic Italian bakery. There's no better way to experience Italy or all things Italian than with your taste buds. Students will have a traditional Italian style lunch on historic Federal Hill. To finish up their day, they will take a ride on an authentic Venetian gondola; just like the ones in Venice! Che bello!
