A classroom carpet with a square for each child to sit in will offer a flexible seating option and help children access and enjoy our morning meetings and read-aloud time. Many of our students don't learn in traditional ways and require more kinesthetic, sensory approaches to learning. In addition to a carpet seating option, manipulatives will give students a more hands-on approach to learning. Kindergarten students have shorter attention spans than older kids and adults, and they need movement and engagement! Giving them the chance to explore by moving around and using physical materials will develop their STEM and literacy skills as well as their cognitive skills. These materials will help my kinderscholars gain access to our curriculum and develop a lifelong desire to discover and learn. Thank you for your generous donation!
