I have worked hard to create a classroom library with books that include characters that represent my diverse students with stories that they can relate to. In our classroom, we believe that we have the ability to travel the world through books and engage in different experiences by simply reading. The environment in which students read is just as important as the literature that is available to them. Book bins will allow us to organize and label our books so that students are able to easily find books that are of interest to them, a true library. The bean bag chairs would provide a place for my students to sit so that they are comfortable and can focus on the stories they are reading. My students experience a lot of things that children should not have to. I always aim to create a classroom where they can feel safe and leave their worries behind. These items will allow me to do just that. Please consider supporting our efforts to create a space where students can travel the world through books!
