This year, valuable teaching will be conducted over the platform Google Meet. This means that my students' only reference to our classroom will be the space behind me as I'm filming. This Reading and Writing Center will sit right next to me and be the station for all of my important teaching materials. In the drawers below, I can keep math manipulatives for easy access. Behind the board, I can store the storybooks and charts that will help me teach phonics, rhyming patterns, new vocabulary, and life's important lessons. With the dry-erase surface, I can model thinking processes and work along with my students. This center will be so helpful in making sure that my students receive a productive and engaging session every time they log in to school.
