Thank you for looking into my Donors Choose project! Both my students and I are eternally grateful for your kindness and support! All donations will benefit and support the first graders of our classroom, so that they can have the most beneficial and authentic classroom activities and learning opportunities possible. We are a first grade class of 20 very culturally, economically, and linguistically diverse students from the Chicago suburbs. Many of the students come from low-income homes, where many do not have access to technology or learning opportunities outside of the classroom. Many of the students speak a language other than English and most students of our classroom have qualified for ELL services. These diverse students need a variety of learning activities that will meet their individual learning style, cultural, or language need, and it is my hope that I offer them the best opportunities possible.
