My goal is to make the general curriculum as accessible to my students as possible, including Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. My school has given permission for teachers to use Spark Notes' "No Fear Shakespeare: Romeo and Juliet" in the classroom. However, they do not provide the books for us. I feel that these books would highly benefit my students in making the curriculum accessible. These books offer both the modern and the original text side by side, making it easier to differentiate my lessons and to accommodate a wide range of learners. I also need basic materials such as pens, pencils, and highlighters and tissues so that I can help to provide materials that will not only help my students academically but also to maintain a positive classroom environment.
