The classroom does not currently have a carpet and in order to make learning accessible and engaging, students need to feel comfortable and welcomed into the classroom. Beyond making the classroom more inviting, the carpet will provide additional seating and opportunities to build cohesion in the classroom through partner and small group collaboration outside of their desk/table groups. As the 4th grade English/Language Arts Teacher, the new carpet area will provide a space for all fourth-grade students to collaborate on writing and reading in a comfortable space. I hope to use this carpet for many fourth-grade classes to come. Thank you in advance for helping my classroom become more engaging for my students!
