We now live in a digital world, and a digital virtual classroom experience is imperative to accomplish sufficient growth gains. As we continue remote learning, I want to ensure I have the right resources to connect with my students with disabilities through video chats and access to further develop and meet their needs. The best part of teaching is when you see the student’s faces when they have the AHA moment, where they finally got the answer. I want to bring the whiteboard and smartboard to their homes. Also, video chat solutions empower multimedia connections: Staff and students can see and hear each other, teachers can share slides and documents and I can meet the needs of my students who often require additional support. Not all students learn the same way, and my classroom is composed of students with varying learning styles, language proficiencies, and abilities. Not only will the iPad and Apple Pencil help my students achieve academically but more importantly, prepare them for the barriers they are faced with every day. With your help, we can bring education and technology together and give students the tools they need.
