Kids struggle greatly with nonfiction text, and they need multiple opportunities to interact with this genre of text in order to comprehend the rigorous Lexile level. I believe that a subscription to this magazine will boost engagement and comprehension of nonfiction text for my 5th grade students! Magazines provides students with exposure to text features, current events and a rigorous Lexile level. This subscription would provide my students with the opportunity to keep up with current events, while also using text features and reading strategies to boost their understanding of the article. I believe they will absolutely love these magazines and enjoy their weekly magazine deliveries.
