Providing students with Amazon Kindles will help to narrow the literacy gap in our Special Education classroom. These devices will provide interactive and engaging reading experiences. Many of my students read well below grade level. For those students, reading is not only challenging, but has a negative impact on their self-esteem. Many of my students "shut down," when asked to read. It is my hope that the implementation of technology and interactive reading will facilitate learning experience through play. Please help me in providing my students with a fulfilling and well-rounded educational experience. Your donation will provide my students with access to valuable learning resources.
