I teach history in a low-income school in Brooklyn, NY. In my social studies class, we strive to study history in a way that celebrates multiculturalism and is anti-oppression. My sixth graders use their own diverse experience to enrich our studying of history and are developing essential critical thinking skills to make them lifelong learners and advocates!
