Books such as My Mouth Is a Volcano can help students learn how to express their feelings instead of using angry, hurtful words toward other students. Studies show a correlation between higher test scores and a social emotional education. Students who are better able to understand and control their own emotions, are able to achieve more because they are more able to face the challenges that come along in life.
