All of the books in this project will go directly to my students for my classroom library. It is a passion of mine to have high quality, engaging books at the hands of my students, especially ones like "All American Boys" and "The Track" Series to engage even the most reluctant reader. It is my goal to have a book that will engage every type of reader in my classroom. If they are in the room they are hard to ignore, studies have shown that students will be more likely to read if they are constantly surrounded by books staring them in the face. I want my students to be imersed in a culture that celebrates reading. I know that with the books in this campaign that my students will be excited about the new content and be able to make a choice as to what they WANT to read. Through our new curriculum we are working to have the students reading everyday. We also a promoting choice reading, this allows students to not feel forced into a book which can harnis an unhealthy relationship with books. By The more quality and engaging books I have in my room the better the chances of establishing life-long-readers.
