To know a first grader is to love them. Those wiggly little bodies, the eager hands and eyes that follow you wherever you go....they are benchmarks of my little learners. Explorers, scientists, mathematicians, authors, illustrators, artists - my 26 students embody these terms. Our classroom is a free movement classroom which allows my students opportunities to get up and go whenever they feel constrained by space or need a little exercise.
