I have requested for my students to receive bouncy balls for seating and lap desks to have the freedom to sit around the room freely when they work. Plastic chairs often make students tired of sitting and take their minds off of learning because they are uncomfortable. I have requested headphones for my students because they often have assignments on computers for both math and reading. My students would extremely benefit from hearing audio when having difficulty pronouncing or sounding a word out while reading. I have also requested dry erase boards and markers to provide my class the opportunity to practice math skills without having to use paper every day. This will also allow me to clearly see which of my students may need additional intervention or one on one time. The games that I included in my request will allow my students fun opportunities to both enjoy and learn from on rainy/cold days when we are stuck in the classroom.
