This donation would a difference in the learning of my students by allowing them to listen to books being read to them. At the beginning of kindergarten most students are unable to read words. This will allow them to become excited about books and learning how to read. The students love to use tag readers during centers, but without rechargeable batteries this becomes quite costly to teachers. Tag readers drain batteries very quickly which means the teacher has to buy more. In a school, that is filled with mostly low income families, this donation would make a huge difference. Rechargeable batteries would make it possible for the students to enjoy the tag readers all year long.
