“Women's empowerment helps raise economic productivity and reduce infant mortality. It contributes to improved health and nutrition. It increases the chances of education for the next generation.” -Nicholas Kristof, Pulitzer Prize winner and co-author of Half the Sky. By donating to this project, you will help the students in my Model United Nations club learn about the global oppression of women. They have chosen to focus on this topic for this year's Model UN conference, and I know it will spark rich discussion about the educational and economic advancement of women around the world. This book will serve as a reference point in beginning an important conversation with lasting impact.
