Students are working on a race/racism unit. They are discovering things they have never been exposed to. We have discussed Black Lives Matter, protesting, riots and where this things stem from. They have questions that can be difficult for me to answer based on my past and upbringing but I am doing my best to expose my students to these issuses. This book will help bring some of these issues to life. They will be able to see the perspective a student their age face the other side of racism.
