My students and I work exclusively in small groups and partnerships! To practice literacy skills we often use whiteboards to show our understanding quickly. I enjoy seeing how engaged students become when they are each given the opportunity to share at their own pace, and when they make a mistake they are able to erase it away and begin again quickly. I find that not only are students more engaged, but I am able to see where students need support and intervene immediately with these quick checks for understanding. Unfortunately, the kidney table I had in my work space was moved to another area, and the one it was replaced with is not big enough for students and myself to work. This Whiteboard Kidney table will allow me to engage my students while enhancing their understanding of specific literacy skills, and provide a bigger work space for my students and I.
I am so excited to see how thrilled my students will be when they are selected to sit at the whiteboard table and interact with their peers; while practicing academic content!
