My students are a good group of kids that come a limited background. Half of my class really loves to read, while the others are learning to love reading. They get excited whenever I get the chance to read to them. In Fourth Grade they are developing their personalities and some are quite witty. fun and outspoken. Our school is considered transit, due to the real estate market and therefore changes in the roster occur often. Their situations at home range from stable to extremely unstable. Our library has limited amount of books and I often have to check out books from the public library. Most do their best to leave the outside world, outside of our school doors. While they are here I constantly stress the importance of reading, being able to read and comprehension. By the end of the year, it's my goal for all of the students to find the genre they love to read and to consistently read on a regular basis.
