My students live in high poverty with roughly 95% on free and reduced lunch. Many of our families lack the ability to provide their children with the opportunity to interact with technology for learning. The only experience they have is at school--and they crave it! When given the chance to create on a computer, they show excitement and have a great sense of pride when a project is complete. However, with 30 students and four (barely) working desktop dinosaur computers, they aren't easily afforded the opportunity to research as they would wish.
