I would love to foster my inquisitive students’ interest in current events that they hear about on the news in a grade level appropriate way. The diversity we celebrate in our city is united in our classroom through current events around the world. With your support, this will make a difference in the education of these children by having class discussions and writing about ways to solve issues, brainstorming how to support those in need, and sharing and relating to how these events affect them and their world. They show care about social issues and are empathetic young citizens of the world.
