Flexible seating helps students focus! Third graders are beginning a transition into learning that is personalized and collaborative. Third grade is also a time where many students struggle to transition into new expectations of individual work and focus. Flexible seating helps students who are prone to distraction and students who need an extra layer of support with their learning. Research proves that flexible seating promotes a safe and comfortable learning environment. I asked for the kickbands so that every student will have access to some sort of fidget tool. The stadium seats and the exercise balls will help when they are reading or working in groups around the classroom.
